Your Itinerary

DAY 1 ASTRONOMY DEMO

Let’s study the night sky with astronomy expert Paco. We’ll head to a spot on the outskirts of Ronda where we’ll learn about the constellations and how to navigate using the stars as a guide. We’ll also be able to see Jupiter and Saturn through the telescope. This in itself is a truly unique and humbling moment which we would recommend you experience at least once in your life! As an extra treat, from this very spot, we’ll get breathtaking views of Ronda’s Tajo bridge by night.

DAY 2 KAYAKING AND PADDLE BOARDING

We’ll try out kayaking and paddle boarding on the beautiful turquoise lake at Zahara de la Sierra. This activity was such a hit on our previous trips, that we thought it would be unfair for you to miss out. You’ll get the chance to check out these beautiful surroundings from a different perspective while bobbing about on the tranquil water, leaving you feeling super relaxed and revitalized.

DAY 3 HOME COOKING EXPERIENCE

Let’s get a taste of local home cooking, Ronda style, with our knowledgeable cooking enthusiast Paty. We’ll all get stuck in and learn how to cook some traditional Spanish grub using local and seasonal produce. Afterwards, we’ll sit down and enjoy our homemade feast together. All dishes are vegetarian friendly.

DAY 4 CANYONING

Let’s make our last day one to remember with the ultimate outdoors adventure! With a mix of bouldering, abseiling and swimming we’ll make our way up the river Genal with our experienced guides. This is a fantastic way to spend a hot summer’s day plus you get to see parts of nature which aren’t accessible any other way. You’ll finish feeling truly refreshed and invigorated.

DAY 5 FAREWELL

It’s time to say goodbye as our adventure comes to an end! The hotel check-out time is 12pm. We have no activities planned for the last day. Depending on your flight time, there’s the option of going for a walk in the beautiful Tajo valley, sipping coffee while you watch the world go by or checking out Ronda’s many sights.

WEATHER

July is one of Ronda’s hottest months of the year. Expect temperatures of up to 30°C (86°F) in the afternoons with balmy evenings with around 20°C (68°F). Most of our activities in the hotter months take place in the mornings in order to avoid the hot afternoon sun. We also have many water-based activities in summer so that you can cool off easily . For more info, check out this link.

TRANSPORT

You can fly to either Malaga or Seville airport. Take a 20-minute airport shuttle to Malaga or Seville bus station then take a public bus to Ronda. There are 4-5 buses each day and they both take approximately 2 hours. The price is approximately 12 Euros, one-way. The route is very easy and none of our travellers this year had any problems. Once you book, we will send you all the info that you need to get here. You also have the option of joining a WhatsApp group for your trip. That way, you can coordinate with the other travellers and travel together if you wish. It’s all part of the adventure!

FOOD

All organised foodie activities are vegetarian friendly. If you have any specific dietary requirements, let us know on the booking form and we will try to accommodate you. It is worth pointing out that Ronda is a mountain town and therefore a little behind the big cities when it comes to alternative diets. Vegan options in restaurants can be limited so please don’t expect creative and diverse vegan dishes. Eating out is fairly inexpensive in Ronda. Tapas range from 1 Euro to 5 Euros each. A coffee costs 1-2 Euros. In the evenings, we will eat out together in some of our favorite joints. When lunch is not included in the activity of the day, you can take your pick of great local eateries. At the beginning of the trip, we will give you some suggestions. Breakfast is included in the price.
